Things we actually use

This is a short list on purpose. Everything here is in daily use in our kitchen — if something breaks, disappoints or turns out not to be worth the money, it comes off the list.

Affiliate disclosure: some links on this page earn us a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. It helps keep the recipes free. We only list things we use ourselves — a commission has never decided what goes on this page. Read the full disclosure.

How things end up on this list

  1. It gets used in our kitchen for at least a few months.
  2. It has to solve a real problem — not just be nice to own.
  3. It has to be something we would recommend to a friend who asked.

We are not paid to write these descriptions, and nothing here is a sponsored placement. Where a brand has sent something free, it is said plainly in the description.

A note on baby products

Feeding equipment is the one area where it is worth being careful. Check that anything that touches food is food-grade and, where relevant, BPA-free, and follow the manufacturer's guidance on sterilising and heat. When in doubt, stainless steel is hard to get wrong.
